Sat in the doctors with 40 minutes to go after sitting around for 2 hours. having a glucose tolerance test as my brother is a type 1 diabetic. not eaten since 6 yesterday and I'm not allowed to drink water in the 2 hour wait. feeling very ill right now. Wish I could at least drink some water :( anyone else done this test? xxx

i have, if there's a cafe or shop get yourself a snack and sugary drink you'll need it. then go home and do nothing for the day and most importantly don't stress about results. mine came out 5.5, my friend's was 5.8 who was then told she was diabetic and had loads of extra appointments, to then be told by a senior consultant it's not diabetes. she gave birth this week with no issues! a healthy pregnancy is a relaxed one :)

I am surprised you cant drink water that surely Not right. My Dad has it and it didnt affect the way i Did my test. Everyone was Allowed just water

when i had mine done i was allowed to drink water in the 2 hour wait......x

My nurse said I wasn't allowed any water. I'm walking home now. Looking forward to some food haha!! xx

I wasn't allowed any water. I had one at 12 weeks and having another at 26 weeks too. Dreading it as it's awful zz

I just found it so boring haha. being sat in a doctor's waiting room for 2 hours isn't fun at all!! xx
