I would try it and see if it works. At first only do it twice maybe 3 times a day and just work your way up if it works out for your little one. I'm sure people will tell you it has no nutritional value (which it doesn't) and that you shouldn't even try but it really helps! And I have a healthy 18 pound 5 month old :)
@bryaxtonsmommy, that's what my son is doing. I'm breast feeding so at first I thought it was dealing with my milk but now I've realized he's just not able to get full and over eats to where he throws up.
I started my son at about a month and a half or 2 months. Everyone always told me I shouldn't but I knew and still know what is best for my baby. He would drink and drink but never get full and then throw up because he had so much milk on his little belly. I started and he has done amazing from the beginning and actually was content for the first time in a long time. If you plan on trying it just do a teaspoon for every 2 ounces he drinks. It worked amazing for our family! Good luck momma!
