So, yesterday I was at my sons great great grandmothers house. She's dying of chronic leukemia, she's a fighter though, she was expected to pass a few months after she was diagnosed. It's been over a year. She had her son blow up the pictures we took the very first time our son got to meet her (pictured above) and the very first picture we took when he was born and had him put it on a bedroom door directly across her bed so she can look at it everyday. She told us she looks at it everyday especially when she's feeling lonely because he's her happiness. He's what keeps her going. My heart broke and was filled with joy at the same time. I wish this horrible sickness would go away, and I wish she had the strength to actually hold the one thing that makes her happy..
