I have a rant that i need to get out, so please bear with me :) I'm 30 weeks pregnant and work is getting very difficult for me. I work 10+ hour shifts in a factory with 4 floors of stairs. each floor is about 20 feet high, so you can imagine how the stairs would be. my feet are swollen, as well as my ankles and knees. my doctor says I can only stand (not even walk) 2 hours a day, but without this job, my husband and I won't have enough for bills and rent. breathing gets difficult and it doesn't help when you have to walk to the 1st floor for the bathroom. my husband begs me to keep working until my due date, promises he'll have another job by then and tries comforting me at work since we work together. I've asked a few times but I'm not allowed to use the elevator since I'm not leadership and they won't make an exception for me. I don't know what to do. I wish I knew a way outta this...

@beth0416, I would ask your doctor about getting a note saying that you can use the elevator. Explain all that to your doctor and then tell him your work day would be much easier if you could use the elevator.
