Can't wait to order my first sets of deaf movies so baby Willis and daddy can watch with mommy once they master ASL :D the chances of our child being deaf is 50% because of me since I'm the first deaf in the family in years. Even my chances of going to Gaulladet is low but at least I will have my mini family :) welp! While battery is charging I'm gonna watch hairspray with captions and eat Chinese food with tea for breakfast yummmm :D

That is awesome. Please don't take offense but the way you write is so good for a deaf person! I live where about 70% of people in my town are deaf and my sister in law is and I can barely read what she's trying to say when she types out texts because it's all over the place. I think ASL is a lot different here probably.

@emilybbyh, it's because ASL isn't full standard English so that's why majority of hearing impaired don't write clearly for others to understand but other hearing impaired people can. Some are like me with speech lesson from young age and public school with hearing kids which is a challenge but it helps slowly or quickly improved our speech and writing skills. There are some special public schools for deaf that really try to help those with grammar skills and teach them how to advocate in the adult world. To me personally when I went to Tennessee school for the deaf in my senior year and learned ASL in five months I observed the students in that school and I could see some surviving the adult world but most of them weren't ready because they think it was all fun and games. I'm glad I graduated from that school because I really stood up to teachers who didn't give the student actual chances to really learn and they didn't like that. Eh best 2013 year of my life lol

I've always wanted to learn ASL. Maybe I can teach and learn with my baby boy deaf or not!

That's so neat! I enjoy ASL and I'm teaching my kids so they can talk to their aunt.
