Yes you should definitely wake him up.

I would wake him up. I have to wake my little man up all the time to eat.

I do not let him go longer than 4 hours.

@missyowl92, how much does your baby eat? And is weight gain well? My son at that time are 60ml+ and went from 6.2 to 6.7 and they said it was ok to let him sleep. If eating good and good weight gain he should be ok.

I don't wake my baby girl up she is 2 months I let her sleep when she wakes up I have a bottle warm and ready! but she doesn't sleep over 4 hours the doctors said it's fine because she has a lot of weight and is gaining it good

I never woke my baby. if she was sleeping I let her enjoy her sleep. she would wake up when she way hungry. she didn't sleep too long at that age anyways, but once in awhile she would. at 2 months she did start sleeping through the night, and I enjoyed it! lol

doctor told my mom not to wake me when I slept as a baby. when your baby's hungry they will wake up. enjoy the peace lol

@babymomma1215, at his last doctors appointment he weighed 8lbs and 13oz and was gaining an oz a day. Right now he eats 3oz easily and sometimes he'll eat 4oz if he's hungry enough. When he was a week old the doctor said he could actually take a 4oz bottle at that time but only if he was ready. shortly after I posted this he woke up anyway but I was just wondering for future reference.

then you're all set :) if he chooses to sleep, just go ahead and let him, which means you get to enjoy some sleep as well!

Don't wake him, if you do then he will get used to that and not sleep through the night when the time comes. If he's hungry he will definitely let you know. My daughter since the day we brought her home she was sleeping 8-10 hours, I would get worried but doctors say it's fine, if she's hungry she will wake up. Ever since then she's been sleeping and wakes up crying and I'm all ready for her. Enjoy the sleep while you can and same for our precious babies!
