Just a random tidbit of advice: keep your birth plan (that you're taking to the hospital) to one page! It should only have info about late stage labor and newborn procedures. Anything else, you will have discussed with your OB. I typed up a 3 page one and my midwife told me the hospital nurses get irritated when they are too long and therefore, they only quickly skim it usually. So, I put my absolute most important wishes on mine. And they still didn't adhere to them. Which is also why it's good to have a doula.

Both. They set my inducement date two weeks ago for 5 days after my due date and starting talking to me about my birth plan the same time. He just asked the basics though because they do it here where I'm suppose to file a birth plan if I want anything special.
