anyone ever deal with their young daughter having a uti.. my daughter just out of no where started having accidents she…

probably acting out i have heard of this before and my son has started acting younger to act out

It may be acting out.....but it could also be a UTI. When I was 5-6 I have reoccurring UTI'S, some turning into kidney infections. I had to be hospitalized a few times. I'd take her to your pediatrician's office. I know one thing...my brother's father would punish me for wetting my pants and it really stuck with me in a negative way for the rest of my life. Sorry for the long post, lol.

On a positive note, I eventually grew out of them around 7-8 years old.

yeah she hasn't gotten in trouble because I am not sure if its for attention or she has an infection ..I think imma see how tomorrow goes and if she has another accident I will have her seen @bubblebeck

My daughter got them alot when she was younger not very often now. They thought she had reflux in her kidneys turned out her bladder is twice the size it should be. She would get to the point shed pee and not even know it because she couldn't tell she had to go and just couldn't feel it. Now she just struggles with going enough to let the pressure off then jumps up and goes on. She's about to be 8. We learned making her sit for a good min longer and telling her to try to keep going made a huge difference.

Either way, I hope she gets better soon!

thanks @bubblebeck even if she is acting out she will be told it is not ok but I will not punish her she needs to find a way to deal with it n being punished isn't gonna help the situation

Could run high fevers, lose interest in eating, and eventually drinking, one time her stomach swelled it was a super bad one that time, very fussy, clingy. Every child is different so it could present differently. Go with your gut getting it taken care of quicker can save you alot of heartache and possible damage to kidneys/bladder. It sounds scarier than it is and alot more common than you would think. Also ask her if it hurts or burns when she goes or gently push around on her belly below her belly button. If it's tender get her checked out.

My experience is from my baby girl but also working in childcare for 12 years. I have a 10 month old who I told mom I thought she may have one and turns out she does. One day on meds and she's back to her old self.
