I barely had sex during my pregnancy and went through an easy labor. It depends on the person really.

Ohh ok. I keep hearing that i will. Me nd my kid dad is not together and i dont plan on having sex with anyone while pregnant.! That seems disrespectful to my kid nd myself. @chibibunnyx

@mommytobe816, if so I'm screwed lol. I've only had sex 3 times my entire pregnancy and as a result I'm 39 weeks and completely closed

I was completely closed even with the lil sex I had. it was only until I got checked that I opened up and went into labor at 39 weeks. my water didn't even break they broke it for me at the hospital and I gave birth that same day.

Lmao! I had sex a couple of times but im wayyy earlier than you soo ill be extra closed by the time my baby gets here @marce88 but does having sex makes easier for your cervix to open ???

I don't think sex matters..I think if you don't walk and be active it'll probably be a little more difficult but idk the truth in that either lol

@mommytobe816, semen helps thin the cervix to make you dilate. I'll be getting cervidil a synthetic hormone ( man made version of semen) Monday to induce labor since I'm closed.

@chibibunnyx, I've gotten checked weekly since 36 weeks and still have not made any progress :-( it sucks

My mom says the same thing @kaliyahsmommy she said if I continue to be lazy then when it comes time to push it could cause for my baby to be lazy nd my labor would be difficult. Nd I believe that so I try not to be so lazy

I forgot to mention, I had started labor pains slowly so when they checked it sped it up. I was feeling contractions even though I was only a fingertip open. @marce88 @mommytobe816

@marce88, I never knew that's how they induce ppl.! I always imagine they do other stuff but nothing like that. Im a lil amazed lol

yessss lol I just listen and walk as much as I can to stay active cause I don't wanna be in labor for days haha..but I think the male semen helps soften the cervix or whatever but I don't think its necessary to have sex to have a easy labor..idk shoot when you find out tell me too cause I'm close and need to start working on it now lol

@mommytobe816, yep they leave the cervidil in for 12 hours to soften it then start pitocin to produce contractions.

@kaliyahsmommy, I worked my entire pregnancy up until 36 weeks and stayed active so hopefully it helps. I just can't seem to get the process going

contractions are no joke lol It's way worse than some period cramps it's like a ton of pressure on your stomach and an urge to push really bad. I did an all natural labor so I felt all of it. @mommytobe816
