what about her feelings like having a baby can change everything and seeing the birth can bring feelings into it and I've seen it personally where the other girl was left behind because he watched his baby be born and changed his mind about the other girl. how is all this fair to her?

in my opinion, if you and him agree on certain things, yes. it is his child, and I believe that the father should be entitled to the child's birth and life. I feel like if the guys wanting to be in the baby's life that way, you should never keep him from it. some women and children don't have that in their life at all.

I know my first daughter doesn't have her dad but I was in the position where I was the other girl I didn't know until after I got pregnant she was about to have a baby (long story) he watched his second son be born and wanted her back that's what I'm afraid of with this girl. her getting hurt. I'm already hurt from being lied to.

I told him I don't want her at the hospital and I don't want any phone usage. if that's too much he can sit in the lobby and wait.

My boyfriend's ex girlfriend was 2 months pregnant when we got together. When his son was born, he went to the hospital and was there for the birth, and also even stayed to help with the first few weeks while she healed from her csection. I feel no animosity or insecurity. There is no reason in the world, I feel, why the father should not be allowed to witness the birth of his child just because the two of you did not work out. The other woman's concern is none of yours, excuse the harshness. If she is secure in her relationship, there should be no doubt. I feel like too many women allow the circumstances of their relationship to effect the relationship of the father and child, which should never be the case unless he poses a threat to said child.

And as far as the "no phone usage." Unless that is a strict rule for your birthing plan and everyone involved, it's kind of ridiculous in my honest opinion. You aren't doing him a favor by allowing him to see the birth of his child. Ultimatums will get you no where. I agree the other woman should not be there. It isn't appropriate. But if he's going to be gone for two days or more for the birth of his child, telling him he can't reach out to his girlfriend is a little controlling. If she is a decent person and truly cares about him, she also cares about the healthy birth of the child and this monumental moment of his life. She doesn't have to be present. You may not like it, but children are not property. Yes, you are their mother and are in the right to make the judgements you find most sound for them. But those judgement calls should not be made based on personal injustices.

I'm not going to have my child's father in the room and I feel no guilt about it and I won't feel any. He has been awful to me and allowed his girlfirend and her mother to constantly text and call my phone after I told him stress is not good for our baby and I'm already high risk. When you are in labor the last thing you want is somebody who makes you unhappy and stresses you out there in your face. He can see the baby when they take it to the nursery. Not like he will be seeing it come out of your vagina. He'll be standing at your head. Also if you don't want phones you are the person having this baby and everybody should be doing what's going to make you happy and have an easy birth.
