I'm up reading on cervidil inductions and really hoping for a positive experience. I'm a FTM and really terrified. I'm going to be induced at 40 weeks and my doctor doesn't think waiting to 41 weeks will have a big impact considering I haven't made any progress. Really praying I get some type of dilation or thinning over the course of this week to get things going.

@marce88, my doctor said they are not letting me go over the due date. She says nothing good comes out of waiting after 40 wks and still birth increases significantly.

@mamabee, I'm not either, I'm scheduled for induction at 40 weeks exactly. She was just saying even if I wanted to wait which I definitely didn't she doesn't recommend it. Have you started to dilate any?
