*(Rant)* My biggest pet peeve is attention seekers. For example.. My boyfriend and me are both the youngest in our families. Most people would think the baby gets the attention, but not my boyfriends family. His oldest brother cant do no wrong.. And his girl friend is no better. They both love being in the lime light. They even went as far as to insult my MIL by saying she wouldnt go all out buying stuff for them like she does for my boyfriend and I.
We announced in OCTOBER of 2015 we were expecting.. And since then his brother and girlfriend have been giving us the cold shoulder for stealing the attention.. But a few days ago they just announced that they were engaged.. Im so tired of this attention seeking. Cause my MIL made a comment to my new sister in law, she is officially apart of the family now.. And im left over here wondering, because my boyfriend and i arent engaged im not considered apart of the family??? Im just carrying the only girl in 5 generations that is soo important to your side of the family but im not "OFFICIALLY in the family"
Then the subject of the wedding came up and how my little girl was offered to be the flower girl... Without anyone talking or asking me she was just volunteered... And my sister in law had the balls to say "I dont think we can use her cause she probably wont be walking by then and i dont want a flower girl that cant wait on her own."
Bridezilla i will remember that when you ask me to fork up money when you want my little girl to be your flower girl later... Over reacting? Probably I'm not sure at this point.. Just needed to vent cause it pisses me off right now..

It's sounds like making a mountain out of a mole hill. It's childish to be jealous of the attention you are getting as a pregnant woman, but also you shouldn't be angry at the fact that someone else in your boyfriend's family proposed to his girlfriend especially if you do not know the story. You cannot for sure say they did it for the attention. I actually don't think it's that rude for them to ASSUME your daughter, the only girl in 5 generations, would be the possible flower girl at their wedding. I also don't blame your future sister in law for not wanting a baby in her wedding because that's chaos in itself. Don't look so much into it. It looks like they're trying to get their lives going. Maybe they want to have a baby, too, after seeing your pregnancy and how excited everyone is? You never know!

And even my husband's family made comments of the same nature when we got married. "now you're officially part of the family." I never felt unwelcome by them, but when you're married they know you aren't going anywhere. I don't think it was meant as an insult. You're just taking it as such.

@mw1620, @thompsonofficial Well im glad im not the only one that sees it that way. I just try and not interact with them as much as possible. My boyfriend knows it and feels the same way. Never once can he have a moment of glory and that makes me sad for him. He deserves to be recognized too.

Lol I'd say "so you expect my daughter to be the flower girl? I'm not part of the family so why would I allow to her to be in the wedding?"
