That's true. I waited until I was 41+3 to be induced. My son was perfectly healthy :)

They say full term is now 39 weeks. Research still shows increased fetal distress and underdevelopment at 38 weeks.

i was induced at 40+3 as well.. my OB said she don't induce until at least 39 weeks... my son was 8lb 13oz... @mommyof2016

37 is full term. At least in Oklahoma. The different states may make a difference. And it may even make a difference in different parts of states. BUT dr's cannot legally induce you until 39 weeks UNLESS it's for medical purposes. So for instance if you have preclampsia you can be induced earlier. But dr's cannot legally do it before 39 without a medical purpose. Yet they still consider 37 full term. It's strange in my opinion.
