they by law have to pay maintenance regardless but if she's doing that for no good reason he should for sure take her to court she has no right to keep a child from their father

No it's not fair. But if she decided to take him to court he could end up having to back track payments & make things worse! He's better off using his time to fight to see his kids than fight about not paying for them :(

No that's actually not legal.

She can claim maintenance but unless court ordered she can't deny him the right to see his child if she is contributing and a court will take that into account if it goes that way.

I'd advise him to speak to a lawyer about what his options are, especially if he is voluntarily paying maintenance under these conditions xx

It's just not fair at all he pays his way all the time to make sure his child isn't being left with out the social worker attended court saying that it's in the mothers interest that it's supervised contact as she isn't happy in having her child around us were not bad people. but than the social worker couldn't give a reason to the judge so the judge said that he needs to tell them before next hearing I mean it's not fair at all @lydiasmomma @melissamaria

@simplymschloe, it's really bad hun trust I know his doing this court thing now but it's just the wait there's dad's out there that don't even work so they can't provide food or clothing for there children meaning maintenance but is allpwed to see there kids om a regular basis

Some women are just pure difficult, let alone selfish! And some men the same. I'd love Lyds dad to pay me or even want to see her! 😔 atleast he is being the bigger person for still supporting her but maybe he does need to find a new way to get around to see his child ☹

My step dad has to pay £5oo a month until his child is 18 and is not allowed any contact with her neither is his parents, my mum or brothers! It's disgusting that a mother can do it and take the money :( they've tried everything to gain access but they've mot got anywhere apart from her taking him to court and trying to take my mum house for more payment 😞

Worst thing about it is because my mum and step dad are married my mum has to pay for it as well!! My brother messages his sister to say happy birthday and she blocked him :( he's only 11 and was so upset his big sister didn't want anything to do with him she's clearly been brainwashed by the mother and by the time she's 18 in 2 years all she know is what she's been told breaks my heart for them all and everyone else that has to go through it! I don't think any bloke should pay for a child if the mother refuses access etc! I don't know the legalities of it, but I hope he fights and succeeds in getting contact.. No child should be without a loving parent xx
