I had a few of them done because of my blood pressure. they strap 2 monitors on your belly and watch for a few hours to see if babys in any kind of distress. one monitor watches their heart rate the other watches for contractions.

ok! that makes sense then. my BP has been perfect this whole pregnancy but my stomach steadily remains hard for hours.. never had that with our first.. just didn't know if I should expect an NST scan if I went to the ER.. I'm 32 weeks. @jshawley93

that's great about your blood pressure!! they might do one just to see what's going on! @gypsy.soul2

They have done it on me twice. Once to monitor for contractions and check if the baby was okay after a preterm labor scare, and another time because I hadn't felt much fetal movement that day. Both times I wasn't hooked up for more than 30 minutes. My stomach is pretty much always tight, too. If you're concerned they'll probably monitor you though.

I have an appt Friday with my dr.. I'm definitely gonna bring up the other day when I had a tiny scare but didn't go into the ER bc I didn't feel like I needed to.. I'll get scolded bc I'm high risk haha but I definitely need to make him aware @autumn
