How do I get my baby to latch to where it won't hurt? I'm crying because it hurts so bad

Rub your nipple on his top lip and when he opens up real big, shove your whole nipple and areola in there. When they get just the nipple it hurts. It will also take a few weeks for them to toughen so you will be sensitive.

Its gonna hurt for 2-3 weeks its normal but it does get better. when I first started out od nurse laying down facing eachother so we would both be on our side, it helped with his latching till he got it down!

It will hurt for a few weeks. They make this stuff called "nipple butter" that worked wonders for me! It's safe to use while nursing and is completely non toxic! It really helped a lot!

it takes a bit for it not to hurt, but these other mamas have given great advice :) I'm not going to repeat what they said lol also you can talk to a lactation consultant and she should be able to help

Get a big latch , around the areola and all .
