I haven't had it this pregnancy but with I had it several times with my last. My doctor didn't say what really caused it just that some women are more prone to getting it and if you get it once it's likely you'll get it again. She also said it isn't really dangerous and women who aren't pregnant that usually don't treat unless it's causing issues. The biggest worry is that there's a small chance it could cause preterm labor in the last trimester.
