so the kids rather not clean theit room and have it messy don't care if I throw stuff out or not…

I would tell them I see it on the floor its all mine

My mom used to wait until we left and throw anything broken or messed up or something we didn't play with away because we never would. Lol.

@rockysmommy, I do that as well @alainalovesmommy it doesn't work with them my oldest always says he doesn't care throw it out then

my parents did that when I was 13. I actually appreciated it. I had way too much stuff and it was overwhelming to try and clean.

@kaceyt, maybe that's their reason to I just got done with another bag and box full of stuff so pretty soon they will have no excuse to not have a clean room and I guess they have to much clothes to because they can't keep those in the dresser so a lot of donating I have to do this week to good will

even now I try to keep things to a minimum, otherwise it gets out of control.

@kaceyt, yeah I'm trying to decid now how much each they should have my oldest is 7 turning 8 in march doesn't really play with toys but has some he likes my second son he's 4 so what his brother grows out of he keep and now I have their brother I'm just not going to pass tots down to him so I don't have to deal with it again hopefully when we move they don't have to share rooms cause to me that make things messier

I'd give them each a small to medium sized tub and tell them to put the toys they want to keep in there, whatever doesn't fit gets donated to kids who can't afford toys. that way they learn to only keep the things they really will play with and are involved in the process :)
