Are any of you expecting Mommies over 35 years old? I am 37 years old and will be 11 weeks tomorrow we had an appointment last week with our midwife and she informed me that due to my " advanced age" we are scheduled thursday with a genetics Dr as well as a fetal specialist that will be monitoring my pregnancy. are any of you other ladies having to do this or had to in a previous pregnancy.

@bentley_mommy, very true that's how they explained it to me told me not to panic that it us standard precautions that they take with 35+ clients and high risk pregnancies for added safety.
I'm just saying they are more cautious after the age of 35+. Especially if you've had miscarriages. @tabbytabz
@j.echo, finding out the sex early is a definite bonus lol. It just scared me when they were telling me i had to see the 2 additional Drs.
@bentley_mommy, I haven't had any losses but my Daughter was 6 weeks early.
It made me nervous too but I'd rather them be over careful
I'm 34 and my dr said the same thing. I had the harmony test and found out I was having a girl @13 weeks
I'm 35 and did these tests! The bonus is you get to find out the sex super early 😃
My aunt had to do that. She was 35 when she had her first son and she just had her second son a year ago. She was 40 when she had him about to be 41. It's just because after 35 your considered a "high risk" pregnancy. It's also worse if you've had a lot of miscarriages. @tabbytabz
