I know pregnant women are suppose to lay dominantly on their left side when sleeping but my left side is so very uncomfortable and sore that I end up on my right side. Is this really, really bad for the baby?
My doctor said laying on my right side is fine, just to try to avoid being on my back for long. I physically can't lay on my left with that shoulder being messed up.
Laying on your left side allows better bloodflow to baby. The only no no is laying on your back after 18 wks
my midwife told me to lay whatever is comfortable! You will feel if something is wrong otherwise. I've heard about the back thing but a doctor has never told me it was bad
the only thing I've heard is that it's best to not lie on your back for too long because it can constrict your circulation.
