Just learned that my insurance covers a $200+ double breast pump and I am SO "pumped" 😂
Oh my goodness, people used to say that to me all the time "oh the baby gets hungry? Just whip out your boob". In a perfect world, maybe, but reality? I had to bottle feed him breast milk here and there @sarahdrew
exactly, about a week or so ago I went off on someone's post (the original post said America could save 13 billion a year if every new mom breastfed for 6 months, I think they were talking about the cost of formula and wic) and someone said bottle feeding was hard because of having to wash all the bottles (which I agree that is tedious as I bottle fed breast milk to my son) and all us breastfeeding mom's had to do was "pop out a boob" I read it like 6 times before I could wrap my head around it lol..... I am not saying one way of feeding is better or worse than the other as long as baby is taken care of..... I went on to tell this woman all breastfeeding entails right down to the fact we get shamed for doing it in public or told to go in the bathroom @natzilla
They are so wrong 😂 And it's a lot more work then people see it as @sarahdrew
medela is the best I had an ameda last time and I like my medela better lol.... babies sure are expensive lol and some people say breastfeeding is cheap hahahahahaha lol @natzilla
I just hate that they're so expensive! If they were just a little cheaper, like $150 I can do. But the Evenflo single one I had was horrible and I just stopped using it all together. Medela looks like a good one to use, it's just too pricey for me. I have time to save if anything, I just know my boyfriend's going to have a heart attack when he sees the price 😂
I feel you on that lol I was so discouraged when I went in, my husband said we would figure it out (I couldn't find the one I used last time lol) so the day I had my daughter he went and bought a new one
I have Aetna, and they gave me all these different websites so I just picked a random one and gave them which insurance provider I had and they gave me a list of options. I hope they don't screw me on it, because I don't want to do the single pump again 😭 Lol @sarahdrew
unless it's thru your job, my insurance thru my job during my first pregnancy sent me one for free, if it's private insurance (which is what I had this time) that's where I ran into issues
be careful, my insurance said that however when I went to the medical supply store they said they would only give me a single electric, since the insurance only pays them a certain amount they don't give the double as they would have to "eat" the remainder of the cost..... it was horrible so my husband went and bought me one that is almost $300 lol..... I think it's wrong that the medical supply stores don't give you what you are told they cover
exactly
