Would you babysit a 2 year old for $10 a day? $50 every Friday. This lady in the Yardsale group nearby is seeking a sitter for her daughter and I don't have a job (and could use the experience). Advice?!
7:30-3pm most days occasional 3-10:15pm shifts. In my home.

How many hours each day?

@kuwsophie, good point! About 8!

Sure. As long as she is bringing the child to you and providing the child with food I don't see what the issue would be. You need the extra cash and she obviously needs cheap, reliable, trustworthy help. :)

Heck no divide 8 hours by $10 that's less than $1 and hour. I would say $6-$10 per hour.

Maybe if it were $100 a week , but that's a lot of time and work for $50 a week

I would get paid $30 a day for one kid. and than for 4 kids I would get paid 350 a week for 2 kids 200 a week they would bring them there snacks and grocerys also. so me personally no I wouldn't do that that's a rip off especially you're pregnant

@caylas_mommy16, that's exactly what I was thinking

@kuwsophie, @jasminedw @princess_intheoven16 I hear you guys. I charge $15 for a 30 min dog walk. She posted the ad and I'm interested in responding which is why I don't feel cheated it anything. Single mom working in retail recently separated I don't feel like I'm losing very much. The only bummer is less time with the fiancé before our own baby arrives. But we could use that measly $50 a week lol and we're getting married next month

Im sorry but that's ridiculous and super inconsiderate. $10 a day? I wouldn't even reply to her.. I find that highly disrespectful. Taking care of a kid is no joke, you're responsible for everything.. To get $10 a day? And that's not a 3 hour "shift" either, it's a long day

I definitely say go for it if you feel it's worth it to you !

BUT if the kids will be brought to your house and you don't have to cook for them and etc and you really need the money then you have nothing to loose. You should go for it if you need it :)

@juliannap, yikes you make a good point. I don't have a kid yet so I truly don't know what to expect with a 2 year old... She naps from 12-2 at least?

@jasminedw, I tend to make poor decisions when my heart is involved lol so I'm thinking long and hard!

And it's a 2 year old?! Sorry I get so emotional because I'm a nanny myself and I've never heard of such thing.. Getting paid $10 a day for 8 hours.. I work about 6 hours a day and make $120 a day... If she were to at least offer $100 I would've done it. Will she be bringing the child to your house?
A 2 year old is NO joke. Lol it isn't easy work at all. Why don't you try negotiating a price with her? And is the price she's offering reasonable around your area?

@juliannap she wasn't even offering to pay for her child's food and snacks is I declined! I agree it is a ridiculous amount but she's going through a divorce etc. I'd rather not go through the drama.
