I'm not to this point yet but is there anyway I can mistake my water breaking for peeing?

If it's your water, you can't stop it like you can urine. Amniotic fluid also has a pink tinge to it! ☺️

also if there's a question in your mind putting on a pad also and seeing if it's wet after an hour you should be able to tell as well. sometimes it's a drip so it's hard to know but sometimes a gush with no mistaking lol

@mommaheathco, oh I know! ☺️ I've thought about that too. Your water should leak over a period of time too, more than the time it takes to pee....hopefully we both realize when it happens lol. Although I'm only 4 months....have to think ahead!!

@justmarriedhavingaboy, would the pad be soaked in an hour if it was just a drip? I know I sound silly but I've got no idea if this is leaking or just discharge.

it might not be soak soaked but should be significantly wet yes. mucus is more like snot and condensed. your water is exactly that clear warm water. the reason it might be less wet would be because it's a small puncture or the baby could be pinching it off. however of you think this has happened don't have sex or put anything inside because it can cause a serious infection. @mommaheathco

also watch out for a green brown or black color in it. in this case it is definitely your water and the baby is under stress and had it's first bowel movement inside. you'll need that baby out within 24 hrs and asap! do not hesitate to call and or go to the hospital in this situation. @mommaheathco

@justmarriedhavingaboy, thank you so much! It's definitely not that much so I'm sure it's just discharge. This whole pregnancy thing is just stressful 😆 so next pregnancy I'll be better prepared lol
