Kind of a rant/clearing my head a bit/wondering what I should do..
So my boyfriend and I both want to be the only ones at the hospital when I go into labor & meet our little Madilyn for the first time. I don't want anyone but him & the docs in the room during that. & I know I would be thinking about whoever is waiting in the waiting room & it would stress me out even more (I already have high anxiety toward labor & childbirth.) I really don't see the point in having a ton of people waiting for however many hours in the waiting room when I also only want my parents & grandparents there to meet her first. But so many people are just kind of saying that they're going to be there without asking & while I appreciate the support, I want the least amount of people there as possible. It's a totally life changing experience. Plus with so many people wanting to come I'm worried she could get sick. I don't know, it just seems to me like it should be a personal & private event, not a borderline family reunion in the waiting room.

oh my goodness I feel the same as you, I've seen Joseph's family with newborns and they treat them like hot potatoes 😑 I refuse this is suppose to be private like tou said not everyone playtime with a new toy bc its a baby just tell the nurses no girl

I'm not telling anyone until after the baby is out. My husband and I have our time, then we will let people know. Still then I'm not sending out a mass text or anything because I don't want everyone to show up at once, well tell grandparents, then the aunts and uncles and then anyone else. My mother in law isn't a fan of the plan but birth is an intimate moment, not a spectator sport.!

I plan to tell the nurses that! I don't want her getting passed around like that. I'm nervous to hold her myself 😂 but I can't wait.

@losmommy, yes yes and yes! Lol some people feel so entitled to these moments. Sorry, it's not about you! It's about the parents and what they want for the baby and themselves. They'll get over the butt hurt lol

Absolutely, they have baby's whole life. Parents only get that moment one time. No one needs it ruined by the wails of grandmas in the background.! 😂😂
