Okay ya'll so we invited my boyfriends mother to come with us at my appointment on January 25th because she has never been to an actual ultrasound before. My boyfriend is adopted. (She was unable to get pregnant) The whole time we were in the ultrasound room she kept making comments about everything, and when the doctor would ask questions to me, she would answer back or make a comment. At the end of my appointment, we scheduled for my next one, which is this Monday (Feb. 8th) as we were walking out of the office she mentioned asking her boss off to come with us again on February 8th. I don't know how to say in a nice way that I don't want her to come. I don't mind her coming to a few here and there, but I don't want her to come to every. single. one. Plus Monday, were supposed to be finding out the sex, and I kind of just wanted that to be a special moment for my boyfriend and I. How can I tell her in a nice way I don't want her there???

Just Let Her Know That You Don't Mind Her Coming To Some Of The Appointments But That Your Appointment Monday Is Special And That You'd Like It To Be Just You And Him. I Lot Of Doctors Give You A Dvd Of The Ultrasound When You Find Out The Sex. Let Her Know That If They Give You One, That She Can Watch The Dvd.

tell her that you want to get the gender of the baby a secret for a bit and want to share this experience with your boyfriend .

Honestly it might be best for the boyfriend to tell her. She isn't going to take it to well from you but if he explains to her that you would like the next appointment to be more private for just you 2 she should understand from his mouth better.

That is a great idea! I think I'm going to use the whole "we want to keep the gender thing a secret". We're not doing a gender reveal party, but we're doing gender reveal pictures a couple days after we find out, and that's really how I wanted EVERYONE to find out anyways, so I think that's what I'll do! my mother and my ex were in the room but his mother wanted to come since we weren't on good terms it didn't happen so I told him to say what I told you . it worked out pretty well

@julymomma16, I would change the day then lol see my mom is coming with me since my husband is deployed but if he wasn't it would be the 2 of us.

sane problems here my boyfriend mom feels like she should be at every little thing and I just want it to be me and him sometimes if he can't come to some then I'll want someone to go with me but if he can come I'd rather it just be me and him
