Baby Marilyn is now 6lbs 19oz. She's growing great the dr said she's perfect. Been trying breastfeeding and bottle. So far she loves the breast and latches perfect. The dr said if she's not satisfied with just the breast milk after 20 to 30min of feeding to give her 1 to 1 1/2ozs of formula and she should be fine. I think im gonna breast feed and it helps to lose weight after make my uterus and stuff go back to normal faster. She's growing great and everything! I'm one happy mommy! Donna birthday was yesterday my kids are growing up to fast!

if you're wanting to breast feed, I would stay away from formula. & bottles, if possible.
my doctor jumped the gun on having me supplement with formula & at the time, I wasn't as educated on it as I am now, so I listened. I ended up spending 7 weeks trying to fix my diminishing supply & still dried up.
if anything pump & then give that in a bottle. only if you have to though.
of course, all of it is up to you. I can just tell you that I'm still crushed about our ruined breast feeding relationship & I wouldn't want it to happen to any other momma hoping to breast feed.
if she's nursing & growing well, I don't understand why he would have suggested formula at all. pediatritions just don't support breast feeding the way they should anymore.

& a lot of the time, new babies need more than 20-30 minutes to nurse. they're still slow eaters.
