Okay so I know most of us preggies don't care for strangers touching our bump but is it weird or rude if I don't care for family or friends (other than my child's father) constantly rubbing my bump either. Like a rub here and there is okay but don't sit there and think you about to rub my belly 5 mins constantly. Idk its just intimate to me cause that's how I bond with my child right now. Am I weird or crazy?

Not at all. I don't let my belly be touched at all to be honest. My SO and my best friend are the only two who I can let sit there and play with my belly for more than 10 minutes. Anyone else they get like a quick 5 minutes or less. @jaycemommy

nope not at all..i dont let every one touch me either..especially if they're rude or something..im slightly petty so ugly people cant touch me either lol (apologies if thats mean)

Yeah my best friend she gets like 10 minutes and that's it but she don't get offended because she had a baby 6 months ago so she understands. Lol Yes some pregnant woman love having their bellies touched but some dont. I just find it rude honestly.. like yes I am pregnant no don't touch me. If I want you to feel my child kick I will ask for your hand. @jaycemommy

yeah, i always ask before i touch but if i like then i don't mind lol at my job everyone's pretty busy so it's usually just touch and go lol

Even now I am a few weeks from my due date and everyone is like I wanna feel her kick cause you can see my belly move all over the place and I'm like okay just for a second but when she's asleep I'm like touch me and I'll break your damn fingers lol @jaycemommy

@jaycemommy, it's not rude. I tell people I'm not a dang dog so don't try to pet me. either that or the you didn't touch Me like that before so don't do it now. I hate being touched in general. like you stay over there and I'll stay over here lol

My opinion is that no matter who you are you should just ask the mom just in case she isn't ok with belly rubs or not in the mood. I feel that the general society has made the belief that a baby bump is no longer part of a mothers "personal space." The only thing you can do is try to politely let the person know that you are uncomfortable with it and hope they don't get offended.
