So the shots that the newborn needs before the baby can go in public are called what ? Does anyone…

The will receive I think 1 shot while in the hospital I can't remember what it is. But they shouldn't get anymore shots until their 2 month check up.

They will get a vitamin k shot and hepatitis b shot right after birth. @babybermea

It all depends on what you think. we took our daughter out a few times after she was born. If you do just keep them covered ands strangers away from them and anyone that's sick or coughing.

I would avoid taking him to super crowded places if you can. it's super easy for a newborn to get RSV. they don't get that shot till 2 months. but he should have gotten vitamin k hep b and the stuff for his eyes at birth.

@tae23, yes they gave him all those ! Ok perfect I just wanted to take him to see his great grandmother she lives like 30 minutes away but I don't want to make her drive to us so I was thinking my husband and I could make a trip to hers just wanted to make sure that was ok what do you think ?

sounds fine to me. just make sure no one has been sick recently and make sure they wash hands and don't kiss baby on the lips

I took Tristan out after his 2 week appointment. He will be fine going out just make sure anyone who touches him washed there hands or uses hand sanitizer @babybermea
