I have a black lab and he has loved our daughter since the very first day. I think having your pet around is the best thing for the baby considering they will live with them their whole lives. They have to get used to the baby themselves and keeping them away won't help.

I plan to keep both my cat & dog in the house & let them spend time with my kid. don't believe the myth of the cat sucking the breath out a baby because they smell milk my sister kept her cats around her son from the day he was born they were curious but stayed away because he cried & was rough 😂
