Y'all be careful. Always wash your hands and never touch your face. I just heard there's a new virus going around from South America that can cause harmful effects for pregnant women to the baby such as a small head and deformities. I forget what it's called but I'm going to look into it. There's already some cases in Virginia. Be safe mommas.

you're so right. it is scary. I thought no one had it in the US but I just heard someone has it in Dallas. it's called Zika I think :(

You get it through mosquitoes that carry the Zika virus...

There was a case confirmed earlier were you can get it through sex as well. If that person has it

@babymadelyngrace, @kellynicole if someone caught the virus from the mosquito they can pass it on to you like a cold. There's already an outbreak in the states so I rather be safe than sorry.

@lovebuggg2016, yep I heard of that too. You don't have to be bit by the mosquito, if the person has it they can pass it on to you like a cold. That's what I'm understanding of it. All I know is, I rather protect myself and my baby regardless if it's only contracted from a mosquito or not.

@babymadelyngrace, Yeah the mosquitos have to bite someone who has the virus in order to spread it... When I heard it can affect pregnant women it immediately freaked me out. So whether it spreads like a cold or you have to physically bit by the mosquito I rather be extra cautious. It's bad enough our immune system is weak so we're more prone to simple colds. You should always be hygienic anyhow but let's all be a little extra careful.
