Doctors that wanna give you a flu shot while pregnant are f***ing stupid. I have never felt this…

I didn't bother getting mine this year I was too afraid that we would get sick

@angelface416, i didn't want to. i stopped getting it 3 years ago. but after being pushed at every appt, i finally said screw it so they would shut up.

I was told that the flu shot does not give you the flu, you catch the flu or a cold sometime after the shot before you are protected from the flu virus and that's why ppl think they get sick from the shot. the shot is not live

It takes a week for the shot to give you protection from the flu.

@smiles2, it definitely gives you the flu. otherwise, id be fine. havent had the flu since I stopped getting vaccinated. i get vaccinated cause the doctors told me to, and guess who has the flu...

everyone is different when it comes to stuff like that I just got my flu shit yesterday and other then a sore spot for an hour or after I got it I have felt as I normally would perfectly fine! its different for everyone

Yep. It starts out sore for like 2 days. I got my shot a week ago and within 3-4 days, I was begging my SO to buy me medicine.

I got my flu shot (reluctantly) & I'd never gotten one before so I was extremely nervous about it. But the shit was literally the end of it. I didn't get any symptoms that I can remember.

@nessielynn, I told my doc that I didn't want it cause it gives you the flu, and she said no that's not true. ppl THINKS it gives them the flu because they come in contact with some one that has it days after they get the shot and may not know it yet. and they think oh crap the shot gave me the flu!! but I agree everyone is diffrent, and I'm still iffy about it and have not got the flu shot my self. my doc said the flu shot is not a live virus! but I don't know what to think. just wanted to give you the info my doc gave me.

I told my drs office that I refused to ge the flue shot, along,with the stupid h1n1 and any other one they wanted me to get. I rarely ever get the flu, or the shots for that matter, s he said that was fine, I just had to sign a paper saying I refused to get them. I hope you feel better soon. Keep hydrated Gatorade is good when your sick.

@jlc21093, yeah my doctors just wouldn't stop pushing. and no matter how many times I said I didn't want it, they just wouldn't take no for an answer. My SO bought me Tylenol Cold but it tastes terrible. I've been trying to stay hydrated but I feel so dehydrated no matter how much I drink.

Pinch the back of your hand and if it stays "pinched" for a few seconds, the you need to go to ER. If it snaps back pretty fast then you're ok.
