my mother in law doesn't half annoy me when we are at her house. feeding my step daughter a load of crap knowing full well we're encouraging her to eat better and not have sweets/crisp before her tea because she's been in and out of hospital with stomach problems due to poor diet and nutrition. when I say she shouldn't be having that before she's eaten dinner alls I get is ohhh she's at granny's house! I cannot wait for her to try and be the same when my little one is here because my baby girl will not be staying here without my supervision end of. 😠😠 so irritated it's unreal!

Ahhh I'm so glad I've found someone on my wavelength, we've decided to exclusively breast feed too, with expressing into bottles so OH can feed too! Part of me wants to tell them, but then I don't want to be the one that's started a war!! @sachadaley123 xxx

oh my God I would be livid!! I'd tell them if I was you. and I wouldn't feel a ounce of guilt in doing so! I seriously don't know what I would do I would be that furious! I plan on exclusively breastfeeding my little girl and I won't be weaning until 6 months so I can follow the baby led weaning so under no circumstances will she be getting given anything without my say so! especially not chocolate and biscuits! I'm not a health freak but I want my child eating proper foods that are good for her before I introduce sweet stuff! my little girl won't be getting left with my MIL neither as I feel like I can't trust her and if oh has anything to say about it then he can get lost too! my child my rules! @emmy_lou xxx

Oh definitely, my MIL looks after her great niece on a Saturday, she's a year old and her parents don't give her chocolate buttons and things like that, they are all organic and what not, but yet my MIL will give her chocolate and crisps and biscuits and finds it hilarious that she does and her parents do t know about it! To me that's disgusting, she is being trusted to look after someone else's child and goes and does that! I won't be leaving baby alone with her because I know what she's like! Unfortunately, I just feel like I wouldn't ever be able to trust her!! @sachadaley123 xxx

exactly!! so glad that I'm not on my own!! I'm the parent so I expect my rules to be followed for looking after my child! I don't begrudge her anything at all but all in moderation because she will get shouted at for not eating her tea later and it will be his mums fault! so frustrating and it's worrying too isn't it! makes you not want to leave your baby with its grandparents and you shouldn't have to feel the way!@emmy_lou xxx

I've got the same problem with my MIL! Told my OH that baby won't be going round there unless our rules are followed!! all well and good being "at granny's house" but they aren't the ones that have to deal with the fall out from it all @sachadaley123 xxx
