Obgyn just called and said everything came back good on my blood test :)
Soo I have a question on how you feel about this and if you've experienced. I have a 17 year old friend. She was like a little sister to me. Well she's still in hs and at home and she just got engaged. I'm happy for her but at the same time I can't help but think an engagement at 17 won't last. I don't want to be judgemental, but at that age I thought if the guy I was with proposed I'd say yes but that would've been a quick divorce! Comments?

I got engaged young (18) and so far it's still going good we been together for three years now and never had a fight or anything

Well good :) were you moved out with him? if you don't mind me asking. I hope everything works out for.. I just think it may be harder in high school and living at home

Everyone is different and so is every relationship. It may just be her soulmate and she was just lucky enough to find him at such a young age. Just support her, through t all. She will probably have to deal with people making negative comments about it and if it's coming from someone she cares about she might just start to shut you out that part of her life. I had a few people that didn't support my engagement or marriage and it feels horrible when it's the people you love being that just cause or reasons like being young. So just be her support and let her know you're there for ever.

Ah okay. It's natural to be worried. Just trying giving her the best advice especially being that she is still in high school and living at home. Does she still have the same plans as far as continuing her education after graduation?

I was in high school still once we got engaged the year I graduated was the year we moved in

I was engaged and married at 18 and my husband was 19. We knew we loved each other and defied the odds. it's going great so far. He is an amazing husband.

One of my favorite stories ever is that of a teacher of mine in high school. She met her husband when she was 14 and he was 15- they got married at 16. They said they just knew. They're still together now and she's in her 60's.

That's so sweet!! that reminds me that my friends grandparents got together at 15 and are in their 70s now :)

My husband and I met when I was 13 and we have been together ever since , we got married when I was 18 and have lived together since I was 16 and we both were in high school. We just knew lol and it was the best decision I ever made! He's my best friend! Sometimes you get these moments and they are wonderful and they work out but sometimes they don't and she will truly need you there if it doesn't. Not much you can do except ask a few questions and make sure she really wants this and just be there for her , and explain you love her and only want the BEST for her abd see her through it all!

my finacé proposed to me april 24th of last year, 5 days before my 18th birthday and i was a senior in high school about to graduate a month later. our 2 years was January 3rd of this year. i'll be 18 weeks pregnant tomorrow and we're doing just fine. he's also 22 though, so he's a little more mature than a younger boy(not that any man is ever mature lol). sometimes love just grabs ahold of you.
