I hyphenated my daughter's last name with mine and her father's last name. My son just has my last name bc his father didn't sign his birth certificate
I agree..only if the father is being a father..my great nephew has his mothers last name but she doesnt live in the U.S. so Ive had him for the past 7 years and because he has her last name and shes not in he country it makes things hard for his dad and I..but she was being spiteful but we're gettin it changed and shes signing over her rights 😁😁🙌🙌

It's hard to discuss this because everyone has a different opinion. I wishe I never gave my first son his fathers last name. We were never together, but after months of hooking up I ended up pregnant and he has been the worst. My son is 7 years old and he tells me that he's going to change his last name. If the father is more than 100% in bombed and if very adamant about the baby and caring for the baby then I say go for it. But then again a name change is no hassle. But dad would have to sign off on it at a young age.
