that's negative. I'm the queen of a faint line. I looked at mine and was like...no it's not...holy shit there's a faint line..then the next day I took another one. a slightly darker faint line. then waited a few days. took a few more and they were clear as day positive.
I would say at least once a week or once every two weeks. if you feel you might be pregnant or you are trying for a baby then definitely take them. plus sometimes you can start spotting when you're pregnant and mistake that for your period. it never hurts to check.

keep trying. wait a week or two and take another one. I took three tests over the course of a few weeks before mine actually came back positive.
