I don't think it sounds mean at all! It is totally up to you and screw what anybody else thinks about it! You do you momma! My baby's father won't be there either, because he is terrible to me and would only piss me off, for sure. My boyfriend is the one there for me every day and will be taking birthing classes with me. He will be the one allowed in the room because he will know what to say and what not to say, and understand that the moment is about the baby and I and nothing else. People have opinions on this but I don't care. Its 100% up to you and to me!!!

I would rather not have anyone in the delivery room with me just because it seems like such a personal thing. I know my boyfriend is her dad & he wants to be there but he's more than likely just going to piss me off during it. & I absolutely do NOT want his family visiting me or our daughter in the hospital. The hardly ever talk to me & usually they're extremely disrespectful to me. I'm actually considering not telling anyone besides my mom when I go into labor & head to the hospital & only calling my boyfriend when she's here but I'd feel awful doing that to him. He just doesn't listen or agree when I say I don't want his family there!

I wish I could let my baby's father in the room too, but I just can't. SMH he such a disappointment and I give him so many chances but he is mean to me, never understanding, and just plain stupid as fuck. He thinks he deserves to be there but hell nah. Girl I'm already gonna be so stressed and in pain in that moment, I don't need anybody in the room that is going to be anything but PERFECT, trying to keep me calm and being nice even when I'm cursing everything around me except my baby LOL

@madi-girlsmama, when you check in you can tell the hospital to make your status private and they won't tell anyone you are even at the hospital or give them any information.

@shenellw29, no problem and you can also give your nurses a code for if anyone is there that you want to get out they will tell them they have to leave.
