it's no harm in doing it. even if u delay it for 5 minutes. i plan to only have them cut it after it has stopped pulsing. think of the umbilical cord as a vein. after birth it still contains as much as 40% of baby's total blood volume, so it's still pulsing that back into baby's body after birth.
