@bets, when you feed baby on demand your body knows how much your baby needs, when you pump you're telling your body that it need to make more because you're empty your breast. It's all about supply and demand. The more you pump/ your baby eats the more your body makes. Now, I'm not saying not to pump cause in the begging I remeber being engorged , and that sucks, but only pump when you absolutely have to .

@bets, around 6 weeks it regulates!😁 danggg 12 ounces that is a whole lot, sounds like you have an over supply! Be carful when pumping before 6 weeks!

@paigesanchez14, I do get a lot of milk supply, I pump up to 12oz at times. it's a whole lot.

Your supply is still regulating and is learning how much to produce , once it regulates it won't be so overwhelming for the baby 😁
