also wondering this. I heard it's not an issue but mine are barely healed and I'm 21 weeks, took them out at around 8 weeks

I don't have those pierced or know anyone with them pierced, but maybe just keep some easy-to-remove piercings in them so it's quick to remove and replace between feedings? Or you could always just stick with pumping and that way you just have to give your baby bottles of breastmilk instead.

I still have mine in had then done about a year ago so idk but I don't want to have to take them out every time but I don't want then to close up

I had mine pierced. took them out. I loved them but baby will be on my breast exclusively for the first 6 weeks so not worth it.

I've thought of that but want the closeness between mother and baby. I switched to a longer bar because they hurry but realized I had a perfect size so switched back thought of using the big ones when I do so I don't have to close both sides

I'd just be careful because if they're in when baby is feeding they have the possibility of coming undone & choking the baby. Maybe your piercer would redo them if they did close up for a cheaper price, if not free, if you explained why?

I have had mine done since September 2014 and every now and then I take them out to get a extra cleaning and they'll be out for over 5 minutes.. if they are healed they shouldn't close.

@madi-girlsmama I wouldn't even try to keep them in @0816mommy I clean then in the shower but maybe I should take them out every now and then

I just started taking them out in like November which would be 14 months.. since they been growing I can't scratch spots with the rings in lol
