Has anyone used those newer nipple shields?
The small thin silicone ones they have now to help babies latch.
A lactation consultant years ago gave me a regular bottle nipple when my fussy little girl had latching issues. I hated the shield and so did baby, so we ended up ditching them and just teaching ourselves LOL It was painful as crap at first but it got ok.
I want the shields they have now, one reason being to make sure Ajani can latch (he has a little bitty mouth) & two, so the bottle he will take when his daddy feeds him won't feel much different from what he gets with me.

yes I have used them for the first week,of nursing. it helped a lot. my nipples hurts so badly before. and using the shield it took some of the pain away cause the sucking wasn't so hard.

@tayek, thank you. I really want to breast feed my boobs hurt so bad now lord knows how it's going to feel once she is able to latch .😩

i just got,one pair. after you use them make sure you wash them with hot water. @tayek

My daughter just latched today finally with a nipple shield and boy did it hurt so bad. But she latched tho, that's all I ever wanted
