my daughter was about 4 1/2 months because her doctor said it was okay. tried rice cereal first she loved it. then when she was 5 months or so I felt comfortable giving her food, I gave bananas first.

I started my son on babyfood when he was 4 months. Beechnut stage 1. Its for babies 4 months and up.
