Some parent tell me I got it easy having my son in the NICU not having to get up every 3-4 hours to feed and not having to but diapers and formula and stuff. I so wish I was going through that right now. My son was born on September 1 and my due date was December 18 and he is still not home we r just praying he gets to come home before his first birth but he probably wont. It so hard to wake up and go to the hospital and out a smile on my face for my son we have been in the hospital for 5 months and it does not get any easier to go in there and see ur son in pain and see a machine breath for him and him having to get a trach that is a breathing tube that goes straight into the throat so there is a hole in his neck for the first week he won't be able to do anything because he will have sutcher and if those come out it can hurt him I am so scared that he won't be able to be a regular not and get dirty and play out side. :(

I'm appalled that someone really had the nerve, and audacity to say that! I'm so sorry that you're going what you're going through. Your baby and your family was in my prayers tonight. Don't let the ignorant people get you down..you're way stronger than they are.

No one will understand what you are going through unless they have gone through it themselves. Having a baby in the NICU is one of the hardest things a mom has to go through. But you'll get through it and your baby will be happy. You just need to stay strong keep looking forward to the day he gets to come home. Don't worry yourself to much about the future every baby is different and develops differently. Just take it one step at a time. I wish you the best and I'm here if you need to talk. My baby was in the NICU also...

What a jerk whoever said that, my daughter was in the NICU and I cried every night until she returned home. Thankfully she was only there for a short time period but I felt like I missed so much of her first days of life. God bless you and your family. I hope your baby comes home soon
