how much blood is to much in a baby diaper?
My daughter is 4 months old and recently her poops have been hard. They make her poor lil butt bleed a bit sometimes (she has a doctor appointment scheduled)
But she just pooped and I immediately took her to change her and there was enough blood that it had completely pooled in her butt crack. it was everywhere. It doesn't look like a huge crazy amount of blood but she's never bled close to this much before. It took 2 wipes to clean.
Do I need to get her to a doctor tonight? She seems in pain

Um ANY amount of blood is enough to take her to the doctor. If I was in your situation then I would have immediately rushed my daughter to the ER or urgent care. Take her now!!!! It's better to be safe than sorry!!!!

she's probably really constipated and pushing our hard stools. give her some prune juice diluted in filtered water. 1 ounce of each. it'll help loosen her up. Yes deffinently take her to the doctor to make sure there isn't any other under lying issues

We're definitely going to the doctor she already has an appointment Tuesday for it. I called the nurse line, they said there gonna call the on call doctor and call me back. It's already done bleeding and she's back to her happy self but it freaks me out.
She was pushing really hard to poop so I'm thinking it's constipation but I want to be sure she's OK @deiona_mom2b16 @wyatts_mommy_0106 @mrsgeorge @queendavis @rosalinasmami

@bbyenolan22 she most likely tore her rectum trying to poop. if her stools are hard and a bit dark she's constipated. honestly there isn't much u can do for the torn rectum. keep it as dry as possible w se baby powder, and ofcourse clean the area good. a warm bath will help her too!

OK thank you! yeah it was a really dark green poop and she turned bright red trying to go @rosalinasmami

@bbyenolan22 poor thing. my daughter was constipated not too long and was trying so hard to poop and was crying. I gave her some stuff called poop ease..I think that's what it's called lol but you mix it with water and it helps baby with constipation.

@bbyenolan22 juat ask ur doc if she'll be ok to have an ounce of water and prune juice 😄
