I am a FTM but I'm being induced Wednesday, and going in at 6 am to start pitocin which I believe causes contractions. Sometimes I know they can put something inside to soften your cervix as well before they do pitocin, but I'm already 80 % effaced that's probably why they aren't doing it with me.
With my daughter they inserted a cervadil into my cervix because it was rock hard and not effaced and I was already at 42 weeks. It's a pill they insert through your vagina to soften your cervix. Then I had a pitocin drip to get my contractions going.
I started my induction on Wednesday & didn't have him until Friday morning. They've done everything b/c he was just not budging. First the pill in your vajaja, then the bulb that helps dilate you 3cm, pitocin, then broke my water. It can be a long process.
well I'm already 3cm and I'm 70% effaced my doctor told me if she's not here by the 4th she's going too talk too me about inducing labor and I'm kind of nervous since this is my first baby.. @babyjjsmommy @ceeasquared @hottamalee
@monique349, ugh I really really really wish I didn't have to get induced but medical reasons said otherwise 😣 it was so tough! But everyone's experience is different. Good luck !

The only thing that sucked about my induction was it took 16 hours and I couldn't walk around because I had to be hooked up to monitors
