Usually people have it a month or so before they are due but I had mine at 28 weeks just because the timing suited my fam better Etc for travel. I wasn't keen on people fussing over me either but I have to say the baby shower helped tremendously with what people gave me, it was a big weight lifted off my shoulders, plus people like buying baby things @peanut2016115
