They're great for new/small babies, because a lot of carriers are too big.

I have one & I love it. After a couple rough days with my daughter when she was younger, I found a used one & bought it immediately. There's a million YouTube videos to show you how to do the different wraps. I got it my first try & it works every time with my babe. She loves it!

a regular carrier is simpler

I got one as a gift. I personally didn't care for the Moby wrap because it was so long and took me too long to figure it out. I had a similar wrap that was less complicated and loved it. But that is just my opinion. My daughter was too fussy and impatient to wait for me to figure it out. lol
