Anyone with gestational diabetes that has to take any medication? if so what do you take? does it…

I have it im on the lowest does of meds now and I haven't had any side affects and hardly any high numbers since I been taking it :)

I take novaloft and nph. I don't have any side effects, as I progress in pregnancy, hormones tend to make your levels rise.

I take Metformin. I went to doc today and lost 10lbs but she isn't worried because I'm already a thickums! Only side effect is that I have to make myself eat something. I crave various foods but can only have a bite or two and I'm full.

@jjordan86, @knfletcher42 @valentinesbaby wow, I think for my next appointment they are putting me on meds not sure which just yet but I was freaking out a little cause I didn't know if any of the pills would make me have crazy side effects but from what you guys are telling me doesn't seem bad at all.

@isaacsmommytx, various meds affect everyone different. I started with Glyburide but it made me bottom out too much. I would awaken to blood sugar at 40 n below. I would be so dizzy, shaky and hungry. So, they switched me to Metformin and I'm doing great. Especially after losing 10lbs. 🙁
