Any success stories with using Castor Oil to start labor? just got my membranes stripped yesterday…

I've heard nothing but bad stuff about castor oil, kills alot of babies.

I agree with @hermommy I have also heard nothing but bad outcomes, I wouldnt chance it

as a nurse and midwife, my recommendation is one teaspoon. either that will work or it wont. people get confused and say the baby pooped in utero due to castor oil that's not true. babies poop in utero because they are stressed in the womb. it's up to you what to do. every pregnancy is different so don't let others influence you, make your own choice.

I heard horrible stories. Dont chance it.

my best friend did that with her 1st baby she popped her and she was perfectly fine but I agree width @jjordan86 everyone's body is different and its your choice...

a bunch of doctors and midwives suggest doing it, not OVER DOING IT. I know you can't take more than 4tblsps. I only took 2. and I've been having contractions for 2 hours now.

thank you @cc85. women today are so paranoid when this has been done since the beginning of time. I educate myself so no one can tell me what's best for me or my baby and I sure wouldn't take advice from someone who has never had a baby or has no medical experience.

exactly@eric_brandy13. if you take a half of a bottle then yes there will be consequences but taking the recommended dosage is enough to tell you if it works or not for you
