Great. I have a zombie for a fiancé. I was hoping these kind of work weeks were over for a while. This is usually their slow time. He has worked over 50 hours this week and still has to work all weekend until Wednesday. Their excuse for making him work so much? He is taking Wednesday through Friday off because I'm having a c section Thursday. His job has some asshole bosses. I've met them. My fiancé gets home anywhere between 6 and 1030 at night, eats dinner on the early days, goes to bed, and has to be up again between 330 and 430 in the morning. I love that he is providing for us and that he is a hard ass worker, but gah damn. I hardly get anytime with him. We wanted to have a date night this weekend but nope, clean harbors needs him to work. I just can't wait for the day I'm no longer on the back burner. He feels awful about it. I can see it in his eyes when we talk about it. He knows how I feel but there honestly isn't anything either of us can do about it. We are lucky if we get a full weekend together without him being called into work. I hope he gets a call or email from the fire department saying "you start the academy next week." That's his dream and I want it for him. We wouldn't have to worry about spending time with each other then. He'd only work 9 days a month, 24 hour shifts. That'd be so much better than what we have now.
