What's everyone's thoughts on hospital tours? I can't decide if I really wanna do one or not.

I didn't do one with either of my girls. but I was born and raised where I live so I knew the hospital!

But I'm doing one this time cuz they are opening a new L&D in my town and really want to do a water birth! I would say, do whatever feels comfortable to you. :)

I think it's perfect because you get to see everything they will do for you & what if you don't like the hospital ? then you can just tour at another one ,

Oh well I just moved here about 6 months ago I know where to go for my OB appointments that's about it. so maybe it would be a good idea! how do you get set up with a tour jus ask your doctor? @soon2bmomof3

true but it's the only hospital in the area lol and that's where my midwife is and I love her. from what I've seen its an awesome hospital I know they just recently added to it and renovated almost everything so it's really nice but it would be nice to know my way around so I'm not sending everyone on a wild goose chase when I go into labor and they are trying to find me @badkitty

usually you have to call the hospital and set one up. but you could ask your doc and see what they say. could be different where you live.

Oh okay well yeah just go do the tour , it'll make you feel better about it if you see it for yourself

i did because i had never been to the hospital i delivered at and it was a chance to get a feel for the environment! you call the hospital and ask when they do tours. here it's once a month
